If you're visiting Colorado, you should consider stopping by Morrison, which features plenty of fun things to do. "We have been to lots of Geology Museums around the country. This one is a very nice one. It has display cases with pretty much every mineral and gem found. All shapes, sizes, and colors! Downstairs has neat hands-on displays plus a play-area for the kids (leggos, books, etc) and a map display with the state gems & minerals for each state right on the map! Neat!
