OUR TAKE ON GOLDEN
Similar to many towns in Colorado, Golden offers an extensive range of parks that features great views, beautiful lakes, and historic mines. One notable park in Golden Colorado is Parfet Park which is located in the northern part of the downtown area; it is also Golden's oldest park. Aside from Parfet Park though, there are also neighborhood parks that were established mostly during the 1980s. For example, the Ulysses Park, a regional complex for athletes was built in the 80's.
Newer parks in the area include the New Loveland Park which was established in 1996 and the White Ash Mine Park which was established in 1997. Currently, one of the newest Golden Colorado attractions is the Discovery Park which was built in 2006. Other parks you might want to consider include the Clear Creek White Water, the Heritage Dells, the Golden Heights, the Cressman, the Beverly Heights, the New Loveland Mine, and the White Ash Mine.
You might also want to try visiting some of museums during your Golden vacations. Golden takes pride in its many museums including the Astor House Museum, the Buffalo Bill Memorial Museum, and the Clear Creek History Park among others.
