OUR TAKE ON YORBA LINDA
Located in the northeastern part of Orange County, Yorba Linda is famous for its lush hills after the spring rain. Some travelers visit the area because it is the birthplace of Richard Nixon and there are libraries and museums that are dedicated to him. But as most travel junkies can testify, museums and memorabilia alone are not enough to lure them to travel thousands of miles over land and water. So what keeps them yearning for Yorba Linda vacations then?
Yorba Linda is actually popular for its equestrian arenas, as well as 100 miles of horse trails, which are good training grounds for any equestrian. The Chino Hills State Park is also a favorite among riders; be sure to visit this area even though you don't ride because the scenery and the laid-back atmosphere is worth the visit.
Meanwhile, another spot you should not miss on your Yorba Linda vacations is the Featherly Park. This area provides camping facilities for the whole family. There are 119 individual sites you can choose from; these sites are organized into the youth camping area, the visitor center, and the amphitheaters. And while you are in Yorba Linda, you might want to see the Yorba Regional Park as well; it is just five miles from Featherly Park.
