I lived in Santa Cruz, California for over ten years and still miss this casual college beach town. Here are some favorite haunts for students, locals, and tourists alike.

Locals, don't necessarily stay in hotels, but if they did this one would be a cool choice. Located in the Santa Cruz Mountains, legend says it may be haunted. Locals and visitors alike enjoy dining beside the brook that runs through the hotel restaurant.
