A Day in the Park
Golden Gate Park is great. You can spend a whole day there doing many different things all within a short walk. Here are 3 of my favorites to hit back to back to back.
An indoor rainforest! Dozens of great aquariums, a planetarium and a living roof you can go up in visit, all in an uber-green design building that will knock your socks off.
The de Young is in a very cool new building. Be sure to catch the view from the 9th floor tower. The art exhibits change and are usually good. The Cafe is excellent with outdoor seating and a nice grassy spot.
This is a great Japanese Garden and after you stroll around you can order a fresh pot of tea. The Science museum, art museum and Tea Garden are all right next to each other.
