OUR TAKE ON SAN DIEGO

San Diego vacations create memories of a lifetime, especially for families! The San Diego Zoo is a must see, especially with their renowned panda mom and baby. For a closer look at animals in their natural habitat, travel 35 miles to the San Diego Wild Animal Park and take a caravan photo tour. You will feed giraffes by hand and maybe even a rhinoceros.

Of course, the famous Sea World will not disappoint. Check out a show called ‘Pet’s Rule’ where dogs, cats, birds, pigs and ducks perform their special talents, along with great actors in the bunch. There is even a meet and greet after the show.

If you love the horse races, the Del Mar Fairgrounds is only 20 minutes away from downtown San Diego. Even though racing season is in the summer months, there are events throughout the year, including the popular Del Mar Fair, the Holiday Lights Show, and many concerts.

Downtown San Diego is exciting too. The Gaslamp Quarter is a great place for nightlife, as well as an abundance of lovely restaurants that are both romantic and sophisticated. Shoppers should check out Horton Plaza, a multistory outdoor mall featuring award-winning architecture.

Those looking for a romantic getaway should consider the Hotel Del Coronado, or for a more affordable option, the La Valencia Hotel. While in La Jolla, check out Seal Beach where hundreds of seals beach and sing – great for romance and family memories.
