Top 6 Things to do in San Carlos

I admit that I never really thought much about San Carlos before spending a couple of days here. Since then, I have come to appreciate this city and all it has to offer. I love the quirky museums in this part of the Bay Area, like the Pez Memorabilia Museum and the CurioOdyssey. I also really love the great restaurants, like Creola. Oh yes, I even appreciate the South Bay's nature spots. That's right, San Bruno Mountain State Park is glorious in the spring. The hiking is relaxed and easy and offers views of the Bay Area in all directions.

This newly renovated Holiday Inn is reasonably priced, quiet, clean and serves a free breakfast. They have high speed internet, laundry services, and a jacuzzi hot tub. Good deal!
The Coyote Point Museum has changed its name to CuriOdyssey and you can find out more at http://www.curiodyssey.org/ There are live animal exhibits (over 100) and interactive science exhibits for big kids and small. This is a fun way to spend an afternoon.
The Crayfish Hush Puppies are simply delectable.
Remember getting Pez dispensers as a kid? This is a quirky, cool, museum to visit, both for little kids and big kids (like me). Check out the vintage Pez exhibits as well as what's new in Pez dispenser technology.

Don't let the ordinary exterior of this restaurant fool you; there is nothing ordinary about the food here. I can't say that I've eaten a lot of Cajun food but if this is what it is like then I'm sold. The Crayfish Hush Puppies are simply delectable.
Many people describe this restaurant as the best that Belmont has to offer. Not being a local, I couldn't swear to that one, but this authentic, Italian style restaurant gets good ratings from me. I thought both the food and the service were good. It's a little on the noisy side, so this may not be the best choice for a romantic dinner.

As you walk around the trails in this surprisingly lovely park, you'll find that you can see the entire the Bay Area: Pacific Ocean, bay bridges and even the Marin Headlands. Spring is the best time to hike, when the hills are crazy green and wildflowers are in bloom. More

I am the Vice President of an international, non-profit conservation organization, Save the Turtles, Inc. My eight years as a hands-on VP has provided me with plenty of experience writing web content, proposals, ad copy, brochures, fliers, promotional material, letters of inquiry (the list could go on and on.) Writing for Save the Turtle's website has provided me with great exposure to the concepts and practices of SEO. It seems that we have done rather well as our Google ranking is most often number one on the page. Although, I am still on the board of Save the Turtles and every bit as passionate about saving endangered species as ever, I am currently also enjoying another incarnation as a freelance writer. I love, love, love writing travel blogs! Lately, I have been writing for Uptake.com. and Mynatour, an eco-travel site based in London. I have also written an number of articles for other sites covering such wide-ranging topics as health, food, real estate, and science. My goal, with each writing assignment, is to match each clients individual needs by writing with an appropriate "voice" and level of readability for each unique, target audience.
