A Local's Recommendation for St. Helena
One of my favorite weekend getaways is to the nearby Napa wine country region. If you happen to come during spring, in particular, the weather is a perfect 72 degrees, with a light breeze that is simply unbeatable anywhere else. If you're looking for some great local attractions, be sure to trek through the vineyards and restaurants listed below. They'll offer a bit of romance and insight into the St. Helena surroundings.

The Beringer Vineyards are an interesting intersection of complete wine novices, and wine connoisseurs looking for that flavorful $115 bottle. Let me just clarify that I am of the former category, and am willing to try just about anything. That being said, the wine guides here made me feel completely at ease with the entire process, and even offered a couple tastings on the house. If you're looking for a lower price point, I would recommend the White Merlot and the Pinot Noir (at $25). Wine tasting aside, the vineyard itself seems infinite, with a beautiful landscape that is truly unmatched in wine country. If you stop at only one winery in St. Helena, this is a must!
