Near the turn of the twentieth century, the city of Riverside, located in Southern California's Inland Empire, was home to more than half of California's citrus groves, which made it the wealthiest city per capita in the United States at the time. While that may no longer be the case, the city still retains much of its old fashion charm with landmark Victorian mansions and a historic downtown area that's packed with antique shops and boutiques.
