Top 6 Things to do in Pleasanton

I have lived in several different areas of San Francisco including the Richmond district (near the foghorns). Don't get me wrong, I love the "city" but sometimes the weather would get to be a little dreary from all the fog. What's nice about the Bay Area is that you don't have to go far to find different weather and that's exactly what I used to do. If you are looking for sunnier realms then the Pleasanton / San Ramon area is a good bet, especially as spring appears and summer threatens. Relax, play golf, swim in the hotel pool and enjoy all this lovely area has to offer.

If you come to Evergreen Bed and Breakfast on a cold day you will be greeted by a roaring fire. No matter the weather, you will most assuredly find a bottle of champagne chilling in the fridge of your lovely room. Close to everything yet nestled away from it all. This is a good choice for the romantically inclined.

If you want to spend less on accommodations but are still looking for a great place with top notch amenities, try the Hyatt Summerfield. Alas, this is a chain hotel (not my usual choice) but this one is extra nice and reasonably priced too. You get one or two bedrooms suites with a kitchenette. Hey, I call that an apartment. Pretty good deal, I'd say.
This is perhaps one of the most authentically gourmet Italian restaurants that you will find in the Bay Area.
Anyone for tea sandwiches and scones? I am always fascinated by tea shops in America and I found the English Rose to be a warm and cozy bastion of the realm of the "high tea". On weekends you may make a reservation for the Queens Sumptuous Afternoon Tea which includes an array of tasty tea delights.
Bridges is perhaps the most scenic golf club in the area but it is also esteemed for its true greens and moderately challenging and undulating course.
This restaurant gets raves from my friend's Italian grandmother. This is perhaps one of the most authentically gourmet Italian restaurants that you will find in the Bay Area. You won't find a lot of culinary cliches here. The menu is a diverse mix of delicious pastas, seafood, savory duck, chicken, pork and beef dishes.
Those of us who are drawn to the history of the American west will find this old adobe relic (still standing but boarded up) to offer an interesting look back into our Spanish American past.

I am the Vice President of an international, non-profit conservation organization, Save the Turtles, Inc. My eight years as a hands-on VP has provided me with plenty of experience writing web content, proposals, ad copy, brochures, fliers, promotional material, letters of inquiry (the list could go on and on.) Writing for Save the Turtle's website has provided me with great exposure to the concepts and practices of SEO. It seems that we have done rather well as our Google ranking is most often number one on the page. Although, I am still on the board of Save the Turtles and every bit as passionate about saving endangered species as ever, I am currently also enjoying another incarnation as a freelance writer. I love, love, love writing travel blogs! Lately, I have been writing for Uptake.com. and Mynatour, an eco-travel site based in London. I have also written an number of articles for other sites covering such wide-ranging topics as health, food, real estate, and science. My goal, with each writing assignment, is to match each clients individual needs by writing with an appropriate "voice" and level of readability for each unique, target audience.
