One Day In Palo Alto

Palo Alto is more than just a residence for computer technology companies. It's a beautiful place and begging for a visit. With Stanford and it's great museums there's much to boast of culturally. With it's wealth of natural beauty you will have no shortage of spots to hike or ride a bike. Plus they have some great restaurants and shopping.

This museum packs a powerful punch of culture with it's Rodin sculptures, native American masks, Roman and Greek busts, Asian art, and much much more. And guess what- its FREE! They also have a nice outdoor park full of statues.
Caffe Borrone is a great place to sit out on an outdoor patio and people watch with a good cup of coffee and some tasty cookies and pastries. Do yourself a favor and try the Mexican hot chocolate. And if you're around, they have live music on weekend nights.
Where sunscreen though!
With beautiful view overlooking Stanford and the surrounding hills the Arastadero Preserve is a great place to take a morning hike, or do a little mountain biking or get in some horse back riding. Where sunscreen though! There's not a lot of shade.
Tamarine does Vietnamese fusion to a tee and in a beautiful setting. Shaking beef is a must and you can't go wrong with any of the soups. In my opinion many of the appetizers weren't worth the expense but if you don't mind
Whenever I have friends heading to Palo Alto I recommend the Cardinal Hotel. It is old and stately with a lot of personality. It's very affordable and the staff are nice and very helpful.

Set in the middle of Rinconada Park, this is a great place to stop with your kids for some educational fun. Plus its free! But they do recommend you leave a donation. In addition to free educational classes and exhibits you can check out their lizard, bird, bocat, raccoon, or bat exhibits. More
