OUR TAKE ON OAKLAND


When planning your Oakland vacation, know that this is a kid friendly town. Visit the MOCHA, an art museum for kids or the Oakland Zoo. There is even a ten acre park called Children's Fairyland filled with rides, animals and puppet shows for the little ones. After this, they may say it was the best of the family vacations.

The Paramount Theatre may need to be on you Oakland California to do list. It was established in 1931 and by 1977 it had been registered into the National Register of Historical Places, it became a California Registered Historic Landmark, and was declared a National Historic Landmark. Tours are given the first and third Saturday of each month.

When it comes to Oakland California lodging, there are many choices. The Marriot Oakland City Center is located across from a large shopping area with many dining options, while the Park Plaza Hotel is one mile from the airport and provides a shuttle service.
