Napa Valley Weekend with Kids
While Napa Valley might be more well known for a more grown up side, it has plenty to offer the family that wants to enjoy its scenic beauty and mouth watering food. Napa Valley is one of my favorite places in the United States for a weekend away, and even the youngest members of your family will appreciate what it has to offer.

The recently renovated Embassy Suites in Napa Valley is centrally located so you'll be close to everything (and boasts bike rental in case you want to cycle to your destination or into the vineyards!) but also boasts a pool if you'd like to relax at home base. The Embassy Suites has microwaves in all the rooms, a babysitting service and can provide high chairs and cribs upon request. The Embassy Suites is also pet friendly (up to 50 pounds) in case Fido wants to join in on the fun!
Bouchon Bakery is where children's dreams of sugar plums come true, while Mom and Dad enjoy a rich espresso and almond croissant. The sweet side of acclaimed chef Thomas Keller, the bakery is located in downtown Yountville and has shady outdoor seating (and wonderful to-go boxes) for you to enjoy your macaroons, pastries and tarts. Located in nearby Calistoga, Old Faithful Geyser of California erupts steaming water into the air (60 to 100 feet) every 30 minutes, which is sure to impress kids of any age. A good predictor of earthquakes (if it isn't on time it signifies a possible quake) the geyser and surrounding area is well worth a stop! More
