Romantic Santa Cruz Getaway

My husband and I met while students at UC Santa Cruz. Our romance started out with a sunset wine cruise on the Chardonnay Sailing Charter

I drove by this quaint Bed and Breakfast close to Pacific Avenue and always wanted to check in and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Although it's in the midst of downtown, the inn has a hidden quality. With fireplaces and hot tubs in most rooms, this is the perfect place for a romatic Santa Cruz getaway.

This is where the locals go to celebrate anniversaries birthdays and the like. Ride a trolley down to this forest getaway in the middle, Capitola a California Beach town. The food is good, the service is excellent, and the ambiance is definately romantic.
Most productions are held on the UC Santa Cruz Campus in a redwood grove.

When my husband and I celebrated our first Valentine's Day as a married couple, we spent our evening at an overpriced crowded restaurant at the Boardwalk. We were so disappointed with the experience, that we followed up with a quiet week night dinner at Gabriella Cafe in downtown Santa Cruz. The food was delicious and the ambiance intimate. As I gazed into my husband's eyes over the candlelit table, I knew that this was a date to remember.
If you are visiting during the summer Shakespeare Santa Cruz is the perfect place to spend a romantic evening. Most productions are held on the UC Santa Cruz Campus in a redwood grove. Bring a picnic and a sweater, and cuddle up and watch great Shakespeare as twilight falls on the redwoods.
