Monterey Adventures With Kids

Monterey is one of my favorite cities for family's. The Monterey Bay's rich ecosystem gives plenty of opportunities to explore nature. It has one of the best parks in the country, yummy food, and plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal with marine life. Be sure to plan a trip to this kid friendly city soon.

This aquarium is one of the best in the nation, but what makes it extra special is it's emphasis on teaching visitors about the local Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary. There is a special interactive area dedicated to preschoolers and toddlers, an age group that usually gets lost (literally and figuratively) in an aquarium this size. The extensive touch pools on two different levels, the playful sea otter tank, and the opportunity to pet rays are also a big draw. Be sure to catch one of the goofy live shows. They invite audience participation and the performers are very good with kids.
Pizza is always a kid friendly choice and Gianni's is enjoyed by the locals.

My family stayed at this comfortable Holiday Inn Express. The rooms were well laid out. We had a beautiful peek at the Monterey Bay. Holiday Inn Express breakfasts were always yummy and plentiful. It was a great way to start our day! The location is pretty good as well, but it would be for families who are renting a car. More
