Experience a Day of Magic in Mendocino, CA

Perched atop a cliff overlooking the Pacific ocean, the authentic town of Mendocino marches to its own drummer. A great little town for browsing unique shops, filling up at the mom & pop eateries and sipping at the local publs or nearby wineries, Mendo (as some locals like call it) has that special Northern California sentimentality. Hilighting fresh, local food and artisanal flavors of all kinds, there's plenty of soft adventure around the corner as well, with Redwood forests, beaches, streams and more of Mother Nature's glory.

While they only offer tours a few select times a year, the views alone are worth the drive out to Point Cabrillo. Once parked, enjoy a nice walk out to the lighthouse and seashore. One of the most memorable shops in Mendocino, Out of This World carries science-based books and gadgets like telescopes, binoculars and mini robots. They also have unique board games and smarty-pants puzzles. It's a very hands-on kind of place so definitely sample the merchandise while you're there.

Her selection of beautiful home decor focuses mainly on kitchen, bath and garden items like glassware, art and sculptures. Patterson's of Mendocino is a fine Irish pub and sports bar with friendly staff, lots of beers on tap, and good hearty food.
