Livermore Weekend on a Budget

At the edge of the Bay Area's urban sprawl, Livermore marks the boundary between the bay cities and the central valley to the east. Easy to get to and close to the action, Livermore also offers a budget-friendly alternative to the high cost cities to the west.

Most decent hotels in the Livermore area are in the $90 - $100 range so, with price as a relative non-factor, I'm going where I get the most bang for that price. Here, I'm going to get a large junior or regular suite with a full kitchen, evening social hour, and hot breakfast included. You're also going to get a fitness room and a pool for those hot, Livermore days.
When I'm trying to save a buck on the road and looking for something good to eat, it's nice when there's an In 'n Out nearby. Great burgers made with fresh ingredients and very inexpensive. My pick is a double-double and chocolate shake. The fries aren't all that, but the rest of the small menu sure is! Under $5.
