One Day In Laguna Beach

Laguna Beach is a quick drive down from Los Angeles for a day trip or a close overnight stay. The gorgeous beaches, quaint little walking town, and relaxed artsy/surfer atmosphere makes it feel like everyone here is on permanent vacation. Great for lovers, families, and people who just want to get away from regular life.

Sawdust Art Festival

For a brief time every year, Laguna Beach is transformed into a sawdust-lined village of arts and crafts for display, demonstration, and sale. From glass work to clothing, painting and ceramics, the Sawdust Art Festival showcases many different media from artists of all walks of life. The larger summer show lasts 9 weeks, and the Winter Fantasy is a smaller, shorter show. If you miss both of these, simply stroll through the streets of downtown Laguna day or night and you can pop into a plethora of little galleries and come away with something unique.

There are other, more secluded beaches here in Laguna, but if you only have one day, Main Beach is the one to hit.

Sapphire Laguna Restaurant

With beef and lobster ravioli and homemade potato chips on the menu, why waste your dinner time anywhere else? Located right near the beach? Check. Varied menu? Check. Reasonable prices? Well, you be the judge. You can't go wrong with a place that offers "Vegetarian Four Way Tasting."

Main Beach

There are other, more secluded beaches here in Laguna, but if you only have one day, Main Beach is the one to hit. It has everything you need: street parking, volleyball, tide pools, and proximity to downtown and a beautiful nearby grassy green park. Oh yeah, and the Pacific Ocean.

Gelato Paradiso

One block back from the beach sits Gelato Paradiso - the authentic Italian gelato store. I don't care how authentic it is, as long as it's delicious. The Cottage
