Gualala is a quaint picturesque costal town in Mendocino County in Northern California. Situated about 100 miles northwest of San Francisco, Gualala is a beautiful community to visit.

California’s famous Pacific Coast Highway passes through Gualala so it is easily accessible. It is located at the mouth of the Gualala River where it meets the Pacific Ocean creating dramatically unforgettable scenery. Gualala literally means “where water meets” taken from the Pomo Indian language that were some of the original settlers of this area.

Despite its small size and somewhat remote location, Gualala attracts a large number or visitors every year and has a thriving tourism industry. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or a kid friendly family vacation, you are certain to find any number of things to do to ensure an enjoyable holiday.
