OUR TAKE ON CITY OF INDUSTRY
City of Industry (more commonly known simply as Industry) is a small city in the San Gabriel Valley section of the Los Angeles area. Because of its proximity to Los Angeles, it has a rich motion picture industry and makes for a fun family vacation destination.
City of Industry is home to the Puente Hills Mall, the shopping center known as the Twin Pines Mall in the popular Back to the Future movies series. Directly next to the mall is a SpeedZone entertainment and activity center that was featured in the indie hit Clerks II. There is also a McDonald’s restaurant that is used strictly for filming movies and commercials—so just a casual stroll around Industry will have you feeling like you’re on a film set! Industry is also home Vineland Drive-In – one of two remaining drive in movie theaters in the all of Los Angeles and Orange County. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a family vacation to show the kids how movies used to be seen, taking in a film at Industry’s drive in theater is a fun filled activity for everyone.
