Catalina Island Vacations, Tourism & Travel Information

OUR TAKE ON CATALINA ISLAND

Santa Catalina Island, more commonly referred to as Catalina Island, is a rocky island off the coast of southern California, 22 miles southwest of Los Angeles. Quaint and cozy, this friendly small town community is a delight to explore.

A small pedestrian island, walking and biking are the only modes of personal transport available, so this is a great destination for energetic visitors. Locals get around in golf carts, and taxis are available, so  Catalina is equally appealing for and accessible to less active tourists.

There is a wide variety of things to do on Catalina Island. Rent bikes and explore the island—it's safe  to do this for a family vacation because of the limited vehicle traffic. The plentiful marine life makes this  popular destination for scuba diving, or simply take a tour in a glass bottomed boat to explore the sea life without getting wet!

A booming tourism industry ensures great travel guides and resources for every visitor. Catalina vacations and organized tours are available, or visit www.catalina.com to help you plan your own vacation.  The Catalina Island Travel Guide makes sure you have all the information you need to plan your trip. Get user reviews, maps, travel tips, and a list of Catalina Island Hotels.  Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, or a kid friendly family vacation, Catalina Island has attractions and accommodations for every taste.
