Hiking is the most popular pastime here – the favorite destination being the Garland Ranch park which has a variety of trails for every fitness level which snake up the Santa Lucia Mountains for a stunning panoramic view of the area. The Garland Ranch Park also accommodates equestrian trails and mountain biking, for a variety of activities that will suit any visitor.
The abundance of activities make the Carmel Valley an excellent destination for a family vacation, and the intimate restaurants and cozy bed and breakfast lodgings make it equally appealing for a romantic getaway.
