Romantic Getaway in Carmel

Hand-carmel-plaza-lr

Carmel is a lovely, romantic, European-style town. As its full name aptly describes, Carmel by the Sea sits right on a beautiful stretch of white-sand beach. In the early twentieth century Carmel became a hub for artists, writers, and musicians, and the influences of that time can still be felt. For a Romantic Getaway, stay at the Tickle Pink Inn or the historic Mission Ranch. You will be close to town and yet sequestered in an ambiance of the nature; meadows, mountains, and endless views of rugged Pacific shoreline.

If you are looking for the ultimate romantic getaway the Tickle Pink Inn is the place for you. The views of the coastline are superlative, the suites are so lovely and spacious you will want to move in for good. The rooms have views of the Pacific Coast with wrap around balconies, fireplaces, and master suite bathrooms with jacuzzi tubs.
This picturesque 1800's ranch, set on lovely ocean side acreage, was rescued and lovingly restored by Clint Eastwood. If you want an ocean view consider booking a room in one of the Meadowview buildings. Rent the Honeymoon Cottage and you will feel like you have your own romantic seaside dwelling away from the world.

This very romantic and elegant cottage restaurant cooks up rustic French- Italian cuisine based on the healthy Mediterranean diet. You will also find some dishes here that are of Belgian origin (the owners are from Belgium). The portions are sizable, the wines are great and the ambiance is purely romance.
Chosen as one of the Monterey Peninsula's 10 best restaurants, the Grill on the Ocean offers a blend of cuisines that include Asian, French and California style. There is an emphasis on seafood but you can also get duck ravioli, Fillet Mignon, and fresh, inventive salads.
Take an afternoon for some lovely seaside shopping and or dining. Where else can you stroll and shop for gifts while breathing in the fresh ocean air? If you plan your stay for May 12th through the 15th you can catch the Carmel Annual Art Festival.

I am the Vice President of an international, non-profit conservation organization, Save the Turtles, Inc. My eight years as a hands-on VP has provided me with plenty of experience writing web content, proposals, ad copy, brochures, fliers, promotional material, letters of inquiry (the list could go on and on.) Writing for Save the Turtle's website has provided me with great exposure to the concepts and practices of SEO. It seems that we have done rather well as our Google ranking is most often number one on the page. Although, I am still on the board of Save the Turtles and every bit as passionate about saving endangered species as ever, I am currently also enjoying another incarnation as a freelance writer. I love, love, love writing travel blogs! Lately, I have been writing for Uptake.com. and Mynatour, an eco-travel site based in London. I have also written an number of articles for other sites covering such wide-ranging topics as health, food, real estate, and science. My goal, with each writing assignment, is to match each clients individual needs by writing with an appropriate "voice" and level of readability for each unique, target audience.
