A Fun Weekend with Kids in Carlsbad, California

I am lucky to live in this laid back kid friendly beach town. From Legoland to boogie boarding on the beach Carlsbad has lots to offer families.

Legoland California
This is one of the best theme parks for little kids out there, and also a LEGO lovers dream. If you visit on a hot day consider upgrading to a ticket that includes LEGOLAND Water Park Admission. If it's a little bit rainy, LEGOLAND's Sea Life Aquarium is a cute kid sized aquarium away from the elements.

The Flower Fields
If you are visiting Carlsbad in the spring the Flower Fields are a breathtaking visit. Get a perfect photo op among the flowers, play at the Santa's Village Playground, or get lost in a Sweet Pea Maze. There is plenty of springtime fun for the whole family!
This family friendly resort has a great location, close to LEGOLAND and the Carlsbad Flower Fields.

Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park
The kids love the peacocks that roam this sweet historic home owned by film and TV star Leo Carrillo. I just love walking around this oasis of quiet and history in the middle of Carlsbad. Admission is free so it's the perfect budget friendly Carlsbad Attraction

South Carlsbad State Beach
This is our family's favorite beach. Be sure to bring your boogie boards and some sand toys. The kids will be occupied all day!

Grand Pacific Palisades Resort
This family friendly resort has a great location, close to LEGOLAND and the Carlsbad Flower Fields. The kids enjoyed playing in the Kids Club and the water play area looks like lots of fun.

This place is close to LEGOLAND, has killer bread sticks, and yummy ribs and Greek Salad for the grown ups. They give kids a bread stick while they're waiting in line.
