Top 6 Things to do Bolinas

You must find a day to visit the quaint and quirky fishing village of Bolinas. Secreted away from the main road (Highway 1) the town was missed by tourists for years. The locals have done their best to keep it that way, and road signs in the area have been known to mysteriously "disappear". Once there, you will find the atmosphere friendly and charming. Bolinas--the epitome of a beach town--couldn't be any closer to the beach without being right in it. Walk the town, eat at the Coast Cafe, and visit the local sites.

For some of the best fish and chips, burgers, as well as the freshest salads around, try lunch at the Coast Cafe. Located right in the heart of the funky, quaint town of Bolinas, you'll get a big dose of local color with your food.
Visit the reef during low tide (be sure to wear protective footwear) and you will be astounded at the colorful and abundant sea life in the tide pools. Bring folding chairs, lounge on the adjacent Agate Beach and have a picnic. Bring a leash for Fido and you'll find this to be a dog-friendly beach.
Nestled beside cliffs, the pretty beach of Bolinas is literally just feet away from the town, so if you're in town why not go?
Visit the preserve during nesting season to see the return migration of the Blue Herons and Egrets. This is a great place to hike, attend educational events, and have a picnic lunch.

I am the Vice President of an international, non-profit conservation organization, Save the Turtles, Inc. My eight years as a hands-on VP has provided me with plenty of experience writing web content, proposals, ad copy, brochures, fliers, promotional material, letters of inquiry (the list could go on and on.) Writing for Save the Turtle's website has provided me with great exposure to the concepts and practices of SEO. It seems that we have done rather well as our Google ranking is most often number one on the page. Although, I am still on the board of Save the Turtles and every bit as passionate about saving endangered species as ever, I am currently also enjoying another incarnation as a freelance writer. I love, love, love writing travel blogs! Lately, I have been writing for Uptake.com. and Mynatour, an eco-travel site based in London. I have also written an number of articles for other sites covering such wide-ranging topics as health, food, real estate, and science. My goal, with each writing assignment, is to match each clients individual needs by writing with an appropriate "voice" and level of readability for each unique, target audience.
