Romantic Getaway in Bolinas

Ever dream of "getting away from it all"? I spent my honeymoon in Bolinas, and discovered that in this Northern California beach town you can do just that. In a town that takes down it's highway signs to discourage tourists a quiet getaway becomes a reality.

Bolinas Lagoon

This gorgeous lagoon is ever changing and is a great place for tidepooling and bird watching.

Coast cafe

A locals hang out rumored to have delicious food, this is the perfect place to grab a crab sandwich down town.

Sure this hotel is not necessarily "grand", but it is the best rated hotel in town and also gives you a little bit of that funky Bolinas flair.

Smiley's Schooner Saloon & Hotel

One of the oldest continuously operating bars in California, Smileys offers live music and a change to mingle with the locals. Rumor has it that the hotel rooms can be quite loud so beware!

Grand Hotel Bolinas

2 Mile Surf Shop

Bolinas has some good surf spots. The 2 Mile Surf Shop can make sure your outfitted with boards and the all important wet suit. (Northern California water is cold!). Stand up paddle boarding is also popular here, and 2 Mile has you covered with those rentals as well. They even offer lessons for groms!
