THINGS TO DO

Santa Anita Golf Course
"Santa Anita is a L.A. County Classic. It was built in the 1930s as a WPA project utilizing WWI surplus equipment to contour the landscape. Most holes provide the players with options. The fairways are wide, but placing your drives in correct location can be the difference from a birdie opprotunity to struggling for bogey. The 16th fairway is the home strench of a 19th century race track that pre-dated nearby Santa Anita. In the Winter there are great views of a snow covered Mount Baldy. The course is crowded due to its location and reasonable price. You can hear your ball rolling on the greens over the bermuda grass. Any golfer interested in history should play here." - a Yahoo user

R-23 Japanese Cuisine and Art Gallery
"Let's see, we ordered steak with ponzu sauce, soft shell crab, black cod, and 26 pieces of sushi for $116. Make sure you ask the prices on the items without prices. The lobster tempura was $55 so we passed. The fresh water eel is some of the best around. The other sushi is very good, maybe not the best in LA, but definitely excellent. Yup, the location is not the best, but I have been coming here for years and have not had any problems." - a Citysearch user

Huntington Library
"Visited the beautiful Huntington Library, Art Collection and Botanical garden at San Marino, CA on May 27, 2007. There are different type of Gardens like Chinese garden, Japanese garden, French garden, Desert garden, Children's garden, Rose garden, Desert garden, Herb garden and lots more. There is also a free tour of the garden. The most I liked in this place is the Japanese garden and the Rose garden. The Chinese garden is still under construction and is expected to open up for public around mid 2008. Over all it is an one day event and beautiful place for people who appreciate nature. I have uploaded some beautiful pictures in my blog. http://picturewizard.blogspot.com/2007/05/huntington-library-pictures.html" - a Tripadvisor user
