Anderson Vacations, Tourism & Travel Information

Our Take on Anderson, California

Located along the winding Sacramento River, just outside Redding, the City of Anderson, California is a wonderful family vacation destination.  Are you looking for small town charm and hospitality?  An Anderson, California vacation may be your best bet!  Travel Guides also suggest Anderson as a base for an upstate California vacation.

Anderson Attractions include three city parks, with nice amenities.  We enjoyed Anderson River Park, which offers hiking trails, Softball & Soccer Fields, Boating, Fishing, Tennis, Basketball, Picnic & Barbecue Areas, Wildlife Viewing, Equestrian Trails, Kiddie Land Playground, Tot Lot, and Amphitheatre. Nearby parks have additional basketball courts, baseball fields, and a skateboarding area that’s very popular with teens.  Anderson is a great choice for family-friendly vacationers.

Looking for an upscale hotel that is also pet-friendly?  We suggest the Gaia Anderson Hotel.  A large in-house pool, fitness facility, and yoga classes are available.   For romantic couples, several levels of Gaia Anderson’s Romance Packages are available, offering everything from chilled champagne and a rose to more elaborate offerings, with dinner and spa treatments included.  For a family friendly adventure vacation, Gaia Anderson Hotel has river rafting and fly fishing packages.  Other Anderson area activities include (9 and 18 hole) golf courses at nearby Redding, a short 10 minute drive.
