The City of Alhambra’s website highlights the fact that Alhambra California is the Gateway to San Gabriel Valley, offering a convenient community for Southern California Travel.  Alhambra visitors enjoy walking along the historic streets, viewing lovely homes and buildings.  The Alhambra Golf Course is slightly downscaled in length, which appeals to developing golfers.  Audubon International rated the Alhambra Course highly, citing their care for the environment.  Their restaurant’s daily specials make dining here a pleasure, even for non-golfers.

Romantic Couples seeking a quiet getaway: make The Bissell House in nearby South Pasedena a must for your Alhambra vacation!  We loved the clawfoot tub and shower in their Morning Glory Room.  The sitting room had a nice selection of reading material, with a cozy feel.  The attentive staff certainly earned their recent ranking as “Top Ten Best Romantic Getaways” by Travel Guides.  The Bissell House was also awarded South Pasadena Cultural Landmark status.

The City of Alhambra offers an excellent listing of Hotels on-line.  We found the Fremont Inn offered great value for Family Travel.  The staff helped us arrange our travel itinerary for Alhambra Attractions to nearby Disney World and Universal Studios.  The Fremont Inn offers everything from executive to family suite options, with discounts available.  We appreciated its close proximity to restaurants, especially the authentic Chinese dining fare that is great for family-style dining.
