The best way to make Disneyland, and life, more enjoyable: jazz hands.
How to survive Disneyland? That seems kind of silly, doesn’t it? Isn’t surviving Disneyland the same as enjoying Disneyland? I should think so. However, there are some among us (you know who you are) that feel otherwise. Hello friends! My husband and I had the opportunity last weekend to hike the Catalina State Park near Oro Valley (just north of Tucson) in Arizona. I will be posting more about our experience in Oro Valley in an upcoming entry.
The park itself has a nice network of trails that accommodate all levels of expertise and energy, and take the hiker from low desert environs to tall trees and mountain streams. The entrance fee is $7.00 per car load of four, with each additional person $3.00. Washes are running due to the amount of rainfall we’ve had this year, so be prepared to wade across some streams. As always, be aware of where you’re putting your feet to avoid the desert critters, and make sure you bring plenty of water!
Now here comes the potentially embarrassing part. I made a video of our trek, which you can view after the break. The first part is from an overlook with views of the lower part of the park. The second part is just me babbling and looking foolish. It’s the very first time I’ve ever video taped myself… EVER. And so of COURSE I had to make it public as soon as humanly possible. It’s what we bloggers DO, after all.
So… brace yourself!
