You know what this is. This is where we remind you to be careful out there. This is where we tell you that everyone and their former president are traveling today and to allow yourself ample time and good humor to arrive in a safe and timely manner.
When you’re stuck in airport security behind some clown with a roaster pan and gravy in his carry-on luggage think of this post and these special Thanksgiving moments (via SNL):
Turkeys may not fly, but they’re arriving by the plate full. Also, tofurkey.
Speaking of turkeys, people are traveling in mass this weekend and into next week. No, I did not call you or your mother a turkey – just that one relative that you’ve called worse. Turkey. Read More »
Rolling Clouds and Leaves of Fall Outside of Seattle
I’m not going to lie. I took these photos in my front yard about 30 minutes ago. Sue me.
The point is that there are many reasons to get in your gas-guzzling car and drive around our wonderful nation right now, namely really pretty trees. Read More »
Couples Retreat may have topped the box office with $35.3m over the opening weekend, but it doesn’t really make the case for vacation therapy.
In fact, this Vince Vaughn starrer goes the other way – and suggests that the best way to save your marriage is to escape from the wacky Couples Retreat staff and the weird yoga techniques (filmed at the St. Regis Resort in Bora Bora). You end up at a singles resort instead, get sloshed, scream and shout at your spouse and then a round of make-up sex solves all your problems. Read More »
It should come as no surprise that women are much, much smarter than men. But with that being said, my attempts at making my girlfriend drive me all over the greater Los Angeles area to find locations from my favorite films backfired yesterday.

Also, please note that I believe the part about living alone.
Universal Orlando Resort and Warner Bros. have finally revealed the “first-ever details about the incredible scope of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.” Not the least of which is that the land will open in spring 2010. That’s soon!
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be an addition to Universal’s Islands of Adventure park, which is already AWESOME (it’s all Marvel characters though, which leads me to wonder what talks are underway between Universal and Marvel’s new owner Disney). The Spider-Man ride alone is worth the price of admission.
Harry Potter’s new land is obviously based upon the stories and characters of J.K. Rowling and promises to remain “faithful to the visual landscapes of the films.” Read More »
