It’s the most wonderful time of the year. You know the rest. The holidays at Disneyland are in go mode, people. As in, GO!
The tree above (not really growing) is in Town Square between the gate and Main Street. You can’t miss it.
This post is a Wordless Wednesday entry. The words are my gift to you. Happy holidays!

Spring in the act of being sprung.
This is what spring looks like in, I’m guessing, every part of the world but the one I live in (Seattle). Sure, we’ve got beautiful blooming trees, but it’s the backdrop that throws me. What is that? Blue sky?
Who does that?
But I digress, this is a Primavera tree growing nicely in Mexico.
I bet it’s warm there, too.
And that’s what spring is all about, people. It’s not just breaks and MTV on the beach — does MTV still do spring break on the beach?
MTV is still on, right?
Okay, back to me. This is a picture of spring as seen in Mexico and man, it looks nice. If you’re planning a nice spring vacation I highly recommend that you go there. Do not, and I cannot stress this enough, come to Seattle. Give us another month or two.
This photo is a Wordless Wednesday entry that has a bunch of words immediately adjacent to it. Please do not mix the two if you are operating heavy machinery (laptops are okay).

Holiday shopping is such a blur.
It’s Black Friday. It’s 3 a.m. and the store is about to open. I’m still full of Turkey, pie and wine.
My kids better love these damn toys.
The photo above was taken at the Toronto Eaton Centre. It is covered in Swarovski crystal ornaments just like your tree.
Shop safe.

Cacao beans used for making chocolate
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a trip to Chicago’s Garfield Park Conservatory’s Sweet Saturdays, for an exploration of nature’s sweet treats. On February 13, from 11Am-4PM, the conservatory will basically present a plant-based candy show, with samplings of bananas, cinnamon bark, vanilla beans and chocolate trees. At Tropical Treat Stations, visitors will learn how these plants are used in candy and sample flavors. The process of making vanilla and honey will also be displayed at the Sugar from the Sun exhibit. Read More »
