Disney Park Updates

We talk a lot about the Disney theme parks on here — hey, they’re the ultimate family vacations destination, we couldn’t avoid them if we wanted to. Luckily, we don’t want to.

There is a lot happening in the Disney parks right now, and to make sure you’re in the loop I’ve compiled a list of interesting items that you might find magical. I’m good like that.

New Hampshire’s Primary Diner

The eyes of America are on New Hampshire today, but what about the stomachs? Sure, everyone is making time to vote, but what about time to dine? Ask Bobby (or his girl), dining is important. I’m actually surprised it hasn’t come up in the debates.

I’ve been to New Hampton, New Hampshire (or through it as the case may be), but I didn’t spot this diner. Too bad, I’m a sucker for cool signs, romantic gestures, and bacon.

New Hampshire is a great year-round destination for family vacations. Also, voting.

Camping in the New Year

This year I have made plenty of resolutions. There’s the typical diet, the much needed time with the family, and building upon that, a strong desire to start camping again. Somehow we stopped doing it, and then years passed.

Regular readers of Uptake’s Vacation Blog (thank you!) will soon be able to follow the (mis)adventures of my family as we start camping (the kids have never been) and we leave the video games behind. Hilarity should ensue.

I hope you’ll join us (here, not camping, my car only seats four and the dogs)!

Have a Safe and Happy New Year!

It’s New Year’s Eve, which means you will most likely be celebrating in style. For my family “style” means a night at the Disneyland Resort. Since we’re staying at the Disneyland Hotel (my own dime) we can have a few drinks and not have to worry about driving. Plus, there’s plenty to do for the kids, because, hello, it’s Disneyland.

How do you spend New Year’s Eve with the family?

Whatever your plans are for ringing in the new year, please have fun and be safe! See you next year (that never gets old)!

Sincerely,

Your friends at UpTake (that’s us)
