Along the 8 and 10 freeways between Arizona and the coast of California lies the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. With it’s 500 miles of dirt roads, 12 wilderness areas and miles of hiking trails it’s the largest State Park in California.

Famous for: Anza-Boreggo is known for it’s beautiful wildflowers that bloom  every year during the spring. Vermont is such a pretty state. My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon at a bed & breakfast in West Townshend and loved the area. The green trees and rolling hills are a beautiful backdrop for any outdoor activity you may choose. Silver Lake State Park is the perfect location to take a little trip for those outdoor games. Guernsey State Park is Wyoming houses one of Wyoming’s most beautiful reservoirs. It’s located almost due north of Cheyanne off highway 25 on the eastern side of the state. It’s known for it’s excellent boating and recreational facilities. A veritable oasis of green and blue in the rolling hills of Wyoming.

Famous for: Guernsey State park is one of the finest examples of the work the CCC, Civilian Conservation Corps. Coolidge State Park, as you may have guessed, is named after Calvin Coolidge, of Calvin and Hobbes fame our 30th president! In a time and era where everything changes the Calvin Coolidge State Park has stayed true to its rustic, early beginnings. It has stayed cool(idge).
