And you may ask yourself
Where does that highway go?

With all apologies to the Talking Heads we know where said highway goes – wherever we want.  Eat that train tracks!

I put out a call to our Vacations staff for photos of summer and all that it entails.  The following are their contributions.

Don’t worry, if your favorite writer didn’t submit a photo as they’ve probably got their own story brewing, or they’re just lazy, but probably the story thing.

Hatteras, NC

Hatteras, NC

What I did on my summer vacation (in 53 words or less).

We took a family vacation to Hatteras, NC.  By family, I mean 28 of my closest in-laws, nieces, nephews, etc.  It was more of a carvan/carnival type of trek.  It was a perfect week of surf and relaxation and even when the weather turned (as in the photo) it was still beautiful.

Laura:

Waiting on Old Faithful

Waiting on Old Faithful

A rainy afternoon in Yellowstone.  I found a private spot at the Old Faithful Inn from which I could see the Old Faithful Geyser.  Then I sat, kicked up my heels, and waited for the show.

Roll over, Rover

Roll over, Rover

We visited NASA in Pasadena.  Then they ran my kids over with a robotic rover.  They had it coming.

That’s our slice of our summer.  What did you do?
