This one’s for you, Chicago!
It is still a little chilly there in The Second City, but when I called Chicago home it was in the springtime that we started to shed some woolly layers and spend hours brunching on a restaurant patio. Daylight savings and temps in the high 40′s almost felt tropical!
One of my favorite places in Chicago is Millenium Park. There are beautiful gardens to explore, fountains of faces spitting water at you, a stunning modern amphitheater and Cloud Gate. This is a sculpture that looks like a giant silver kidney bean! You can walk around it and under it. When you are under the bean, you will look ‘Up’ and ‘Take’ in a sight like this.

Looks wicked. I always thought the Bean was not approachable from the bottom. I can’t wait for this year’s Taste of Chicago and the Jazz in The Parks Concerts.
I happened along the Bean when I was at Blogher. It is a beautiful work of art.
Oh, the bean has replaced the Picasso sculpture as the symbol of Chicago. It’s still too cold to be hanging out in Millennium Park but by April it’ll be a great spot to be.
