Remlinger Farms – Where Seattle Picks Pumpkins

All aboard!
Seriously, if you haven’t picked your pumpkin yet you’re about as big a slacker as the guy that waits until October 30th to write about a pumpkin patch. Let’s not judge.
Besides, calling Remlinger Farms a pumpkin patch is like calling Neil Diamond a singer. He’s an entertainer, people. Remlinger Farms is pretty entertaining, too.
The farm is located in Carnation, WA and is a self-contained family destination, minus the lodging. Luckily, Seattle is about 30 minutes away and they have a couple of motels along the freeway.
While at Remlinger Farms you can ride a train, and see wild animals like Llamas and cows and goats! You can ride other rides, too – unless it’s raining apparently (it was raining while were there). There is a stage with live shows and a bee exhibit with a REAL LIFE BEEKEEPER!
There is a restaurant and place to buy a cup of coffee – or a bag of their own blend. Also, jams and pies. And pumpkins.
Basically, it would be easier to tell you what they don’t have at Remlinger Farms, namely Neil Diamond.

This sign must be really old.

They've got puppets!

First, you jump. Then you maze.

And it wears them out!
If you visit them on Halloween between the non-haunting hours of 10:00 am and 6:00 pm there are holiday activities for your costumed kiddos. It’s a little thing they call “Trick or Treat Off the Street” and if it rains while you’re there you’ll get a free pumpkin. I just watched the weather forecast – that pumpkin is as good as yours.
There are plenty of routes from Seattle to Carnation. I suggest taking the road less traveled by.

A river runs through it.

Weird crap along the tracks.

Steam and sun.

The pumpkins of wrath. I crack myself up.

Look, no crows!
