Bad drivers are everywhere.

Bad drivers are everywhere.

It’s the Labor Day weekend.  Finally.  Kids have been back in school for DAYS now and they need some down time.  Also, parents.

Here’s the thing about the 3-day weekends.  Everybody gets them (except those that don’t and I’m sorry to add to your frustration) and as such people are out and many of them are also about.  Everybody, and often their brother, are going someplace, anyplace to make that last piece of summer stretch. Must. Save. Summer.

Theme parks, national parks, city parks, any park will do.  They’re all going to be packed.  And the roads to them? Excuse me. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah.

The roads suck.

With higher amounts of traffic comes greater risk.  It’s a numbers game.  Throw in the guy at the company BBQ that drank 4 beers despite never drinking and suddenly we’re looking at threat level orange.

My point.  Be safe.  Be aware.  Don’t drive too fast.  It isn’t going anywhere.  Don’t drink and drive.  It isn’t worth it.  The only way that people can enjoy their weekend is if they make it through it.  Let’s make it happen, together.

Don’t forget another Labor Day weekend tradition, the MDA telethon.  Times are tight, but it’s a good cause. Give if you can.
