Delve into an art lovers paradise at the 22nd annual Cornelia Arts Holiday Show, fromDecember 4th through the 6th. A beloved tradition in Chicago’s artsy Roscoe Village neighborhood, the Corneila Arts Holiday Show features the work of 40 local artists in an array of fine art mediums. Choose from original paintings and drawings, photography, printmaking, ceramic mural tiles, fiber arts, hand -blown glass, jewelry, sculpture and even handmade goats milk soap. Add to your personal art collection or buy one-of a-kind–gifts while mingling with artists during the free reception on December 4th, from 6PM-9PM.
After you’ve collected your treasures, drop by popular eatery Kisch’N On Roscoe, where you’ll be surrounded by another kind of art, namely kitschy 70s collectors items. Step into a quirky “funk-plotation” theme with bright yellow walls, orange Formica tables and a host of 70s memorabilia, including lava lamps, Colt 45 cans, HR Puff N Stuff action figures and vintage lunch boxes. Grab a seat at the Tiki Bar and sample a Tang-Tini cocktail or try the restaurants signature comfort food like Bayou crab cake Benedict or coconut crusted french toast. Stroll through more of the areas galleries and shops and then crash at the close by City Suites Hotel, surrounded by stately turn-of the-century architecture and art deco furnishings.
