The friendly informative pilot of my Southwest Air flight from Chicago to Los Angeles one sunny July day pointed out this incredible view from our airplane. Sometimes it pays to be unable to sleep during air travel. This photo was shot with an iPhone.

Love this view of the Grand Canyon, wish I had, had a camera with me when I had a similar view, it is amazing to watch an almost invisible crack in the earth open up, you are so fortunate to have captured it.
I saw this view myself one day while flying back from the Bay Area. Having been to the canyon a couple of times, it looks so small from a plane, much like a crack in the earth’s surface. Then you actually visit it – and wow!
Very cool. I’m flying from Chicago to Oakland tomorrow. I’ll have to keep my eyes open.
