Pile of Leaves

Okay, put your leaves away, it’s time for winter stuff!

That actually reminds me of a poem I wrote in elementary school:

Come each fall I’d rake the leaves,

into a pile they’d glide with ease,

and when I’s done the wind did blow

then back to raking leaves I’d go.

Yes, this is still a Wordless Wednesday entry. Poems don’t count.

Falling for Fall

Foster Falls in Marion County, Tennessee is all about showing off. Obviously. The beautiful fall colors and the actual fall pair nicely. Kind of like pumpkin pie and another piece of pumpkin pie.

Meet the Wavin’ Wheat of Oklahoma

Autumn isn’t all bright leaves and the falling of them. It’s also the drying of grass and assorted plains. As you can see by this photo from Adair, Oklahoma, it is still quite pretty.

In October, I had the pleasure of spending several days in Santa Fe, New Mexico. My husband and I stayed at Garrett’s Desert Inn, quite close to the Plaza and central to most walking-distance attractions. While the hotel itself wasn’t all that fabulous (clean, but a bit shabby), the location was AWESOME. In fact, it’s just steps away from the Pink Adobe. We went more than twice (okay, four times in three days).
