Valentine’s Day should inspire lots of romantic ideas and it doesn’t get any better than a picturesque vow renewal ceremony on a Hawaiian beach. Outrigger Hotels in Hawaii will offer complementary vow renewal ceremonies for hotel guests at Outrigger Reef on the Beach, Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach on Oahu and Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation on Kauai on February 14.
Sink your feet into golden sands and renew your wedding vows in one of the most romantic places on Earth. On February 14, 25 couples from each hotel will have the chance to participate in a traditional Hawaiian vow renewal ceremony. The non-denominational ritual kicks off with the blowing of a conch shell at 8AM followed by a welcoming Hawaiian chant by the kahu or priest. A hula dance and song follows and then guests will be gently sprinkled with sea water before they recite their vows in the Hawaiian language followed by an English translation.Hawaiian slack key guitar music accompanies the ceremony as a serenade for couples. Each couple will receive a photo to commemorate the day, a keepsake certificate and a fresh flower lei. Couples must be legally married and registered at one of the participating hotels on Valentine’s Day. Reservations are required at 808-923-0711.
