Our Take on Stuttgart, Arkansas

Stuttgart Arkansas is noted as “The Duck and Rice Capital of the World,” located midway along the eastern side of the state.  Ducks return to Stuttgart Arkansas each fall, seeking shelter and rice leftover from the annual summer harvest.  Stuttgart hunters are there to welcome them, enjoying a full two month season annually.  Stuttgart Arkansas Vacationers and townspeople celebrate downtown with a Duck Calling contest.  The Wings over the Prairie Festival is highlighted by the Queen Mallard Pageant during the week of Thanksgiving.  The area’s premiere duck hunting services are hosted by Wildlife Farms, where the duck blinds are heated, gourmet meals included, and massage therapy is offered at the 12,000 sq ft lodge!  There’s online pricing and further details to help organize your Stuttgart Arkansas Vacation package.

Of course not all hunters can afford the executive level, so Stuttgart’s Chamber of Commerce provides a complete listing of duck camps on-line.  Some camps even supply the retriever dogs, while others welcome your own family dog.  Stuttgart is definitely a pet-friendly city!  Many camps extend their season with deer hunting packages available.  Because of the extensive selection in lodging, Stuttgart is an appropriate choice for some hunting-oriented families, young singles, or even couples.  Modern lodges offer luxurious accommodations after the hunter bags his limit of waterfowl.  Music lovers will enjoy the annual Duck Gumbo cook-off with a variety of live music and dancing.
