Centrally located on the north edge of the state, Lakeview, Arkansas is known as “The Paradise of the Ozarks,” and builds their economy on tourism and as a retirement center for seniors.  The town itself is tiny, with only 800 local residents!  But, if you’re looking for a secluded destination, peace and quiet, and the chance to go boating and fishing in crystal clear, pure waters, we consider Lakeview the perfect choice.

Bull Shoals and White River State Park offers great trout, crappie, catfish, and bass fishing, and not just for human visitors!  Park staff and guests look forward to the annual migration of over 100 bald eagles, who also enjoy the chance for a great meal of trout here!  Mid-January marks the prime time for eagles and other birds of prey that make this area their winter home.  Check out this park’s well-maintained website, an excellent resource for Lakeview Arkansas information, maps, pictures of the area, and links for further research.  They even offer a weekly fishing report for dedicated anglers.  Be sure to check out their photo tour on-line!

Don’t let the small town numbers fool you.  Lakeview boasts an extensive array of Lakeview Arkansas lodging options, with everything from pet and family-friendly RV parks and cabins, B&B’s, moderately priced lodging to luxury suites for couples.  Lakeview Arkansas vacations online details everything from restaurants to horseback riding stables and fishing charters.  If you’d rather bring your own boat, there’s several marinas in the area.  While it might not be the choice for people seeking a wild, club-oriented nightlife, Lakeview Arkansas’s perfect for families, kids, seniors, and even a quiet and romantic camping trip for couples.  Because of the family-oriented atmosphere of the area, pets are welcome in most areas in Lakeview Arkansas.
