Crowley’s Ridge Parkway and Jonesboro, Arkansas combine to offer a relaxed pace vacation route for families, nature-lovers, seniors, and even young couples hoping to escape crowded tourist centers and urban areas.  Nestled in the northeast corner of the state, Jonesboro is Arkansas’s fifth largest city, located midway along the highest geological ridge in the area.  The nearby parkway meanders 200 miles along Crowley’s Ridge, heading all the way down to the border at the Arkansas-Mississippi Bridge near Helena. 

Are you interested in fast-paced bar-hopping and exciting nightlife?  Well, Jonesboro, Arkansas might not be your first stop.  On the other hand, catch a glimpse of the natural beauty depicted at the Craighead Forest Park!  If fishing, camping, and boating are up your alley, then Jonesboro might be the perfect family vacation adventure destination.  ATV Riders, Mountain Bikers, and those who enjoy horseback riding praise the extensive trail system within the 692 acre recreation area, including a 55-acre lake.  Catfish, crappie, bass and bream are among the fish stocked by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.  For only $60, you can rent the entire pavilion, with barbeque grills, pads, and seating for 120 people.
