What to do in Tucson if You Only Have One Day

To say there's a lot to do in Tucson would be an understatement. Nonetheless, if you're in town for only one day, head toward downtown for great shopping and scenic drives, and try some of the best Mexican food you'll ever eat ... seriously.

Check out downtown's Fourth Avenue to get a glimpse of what Tucson is all about. The street is filled with fun and funky stores, thrift shops and restaurants, and is always buzzing with life. Located near the University of Arizona and downtown, Fourth Avenue is also lined with bars and is great for nightlife!
Take Speedway Boulevard west towards the mountains and get lost in the scenic beauty of the Tucson desert. Gates Pass isn't so much a location, as it is a gorgeous desert playground. For great sandwiches and cool slushy-like drinks called Eegees, look no further! Eegees is a Tucson thing. They've very popular around town but have never been franchised outside of Tucson... and the locals like it that way!
