Seligman Vacations, Tourism & Travel Information
Our Take on Seligman, Arizona
Located along historic Route 66, Seligman still maintains its southern glory with small, western shops and local dining that rivals other restaurants in Arizona. Better yet, the lodging here is relatively unchanged, so you'll always get a slice of the old West. Although it is not a kid friendly place to vacation -- their focus on the old West eliminates attractions for kids to enjoy -- older folks and couples will have the time of their life here. Make sure to talk to the locals, who are always willing to tell you a story or two.
For starters, make sure to book lodging in one of their historic motels downtown. Lodging here has not changed since the 1950s, retaining its true southern charm. Also, make sure to try their famous root beer -- it's the creamiest root beer available in Arizona. Everything in town, no matter what your taste, will satisfy your needs, whether you want to find something romantic to do or entertain yourself with stories from local residents. If you really want to travel here with your kids, have them stay in a neighboring town for part of the day while you take on more romantic feats in Seligman. In Seligman, romance never ends.
