Salome Vacations, Tourism & Travel Information
Our Take on Salome, Arizona
Located in the
heart of Arizona's vast outback, Salome is a small stretch from civilization,
surrounded by miles of scenic, golden fields and blue skies. Although not a popular vacation spot, it is a
growing destination for many romantics, although not an ideal place for any kid
friendly vacations.
Most people head to Salome to vacation during their annual Fiddlefest, which runs during late April. While in Salome, people can rekindle romance by visiting neighboring Alamo Lake State Park, where they can get their own piece of calm Arizonic scenery. Other romantic options include Harquahala Peak Smithsonian Observatory, one of Salome's main attractions. Otherwise, head into town for romantic, local cuisine, served up by the best cooks in town. Try their steak at least once – it's rumored to be juicy and deliciously priced. Afterward, stay in one of the local RV lodging accommodations outside of town. We do recommend you stay in one of these parks instead of lodging in town, as it is not the best available. Lodging outside of town is better, but still not worth the price. Nevertheless, make sure to visit Salome to taste a slice of Arizona's true outback. For more information about Salome, including restaurants and lodging, visit Salome's website.
