Cottonwood Vacations, Tourism & Travel Information
Our Take on Cottonwood, Arizona
Cottonwood
calls itself the Old Town City, and Cottonwood has scarcely changed since its
foundation in 1879. If you're looking
for a quiet vacation spot uninterrupted by city life, visit Cottonwood for a
true, old western experience. We don't
suggest taking kids here, as it is too small and not kid friendly. Beautiful mountains peak out of Arizona's
landscape to the south, with red mesas to the north -- easily a great romantic
place for anyone during any time of the year.
Besides viewing the ancient Indian ruins and historic landmarks around Cottonwood, we suggest going in town for more romantic vacation options. Some attractions we suggest checking out are Oak Creek Canyon. This is where Oak Creek is at its best, beautiful, clear water flowing effortlessly from this rustic canyon. Head in town to dine at a romantic restaurant, choosing from local Mexican restaurants or more modern restaurants. We suggest you eat Mexican at least once. To end your vacation on a high note, lodging here is cheap, authentic, and always friendly -- make sure to stay here. The climate is always mild, and lodging here is mild as well, with rooms decorated with traditional western and Spanish decor. Cottonwood is definitely a perfect romantic place to spend your vacation, with limitless options on how to rekindle that romance with your beau.
