OUR TAKE ON SEWARD
Located on
Alaska's Kenai peninsula, Seward is modestly bigger than other Alaskian cities
with attractions and accommodations to show for it. People usually drive here from northern
Anchorage, traveling along Seward's scenic byway. Seward offers many romantic and kid friendly
options, so you need not worry.
Along with beautiful scenery, Seward also offers wildlife cruises, sled dog races, art galleries, local shopping centers, and many natural attractions. Some of these natural attractions include exploring a live glacier, Alaska's thriving sea life, and visiting excited sled dogs. Your kids will especially love visiting these sled dogs, eager to be petted. Need more kid friendly options? Visit their local museum for a fun, educational trip. For more romantic options, visit Seward's Resurrect Art Coffee house gallery (buy a homemade gift for your beau as well), local restaurants serving romantic, fresh cuisine, and day cruises on the sea. Cruise on a ship exploring Alaska's natural side, with romantic dinners and activities to boot. Our favorite part about Seward isn't the attractions, however. It's the accommodations. Lodging here is locally designed and owned, with both romantic and kid friendly options. Seward's accommodations are the definite center of Seward itself, so make sure to lodge here. However, we recommend you visit during the later summer months – it is warmer and more climatic. For more information about Seward's accommodations, romantic options, kid friendly attractions, and more, visit Seward's official website.
